As we approach the end of another successful year of scouting in Leicestershire,  I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of our fantastic volunteers for another year of programmes, camps and activity sessions, that have inspired so many young people. I also wish to thank all our executive members who work tirelessly behind the scenes.

Some of our highlights have included Splash Camp at the LOPC, Back to Basics with Ed Stafford, Beaveree and Cubs by the Sea, but most important are the weekly sessions you provide. Without you, we wouldn’t have over 7,000 young people in the County enjoying the Scouting Adventure.

This year has also seen the start of the journey to the 24th World Jamboree in North America for over 50 young people and 6 leaders. I wish them all well along the way.

In the background, Charnwood 2019 is also progressing well; more details and opportunities to join the team will be unveiled in the New Year.

I hope you all have a wonderful Christmas and a sparkling New Year with, most importantly, some quality time with family and friends.
