This year’s special Young Investigator category commemorates the centenary of the First World War and will be given to a young person who investigates and presents a piece of creative research inspired by the contribution of the Commonwealth countries either on the front line or in a supporting role behind the lines.

The deadline for this category is 9 February 2018.

Please read the further guidance before completing the online form to submit with your research.

The award scheme is open to all 13 to 19 year olds living in Leicester and Leicestershire.  Individuals can be nominated by other young people, their school, parent or carer, as well as any other agency or individual.

The finalists and their parents will be invited to a special ‘red carpet’ awards evening and dinner to be held in April 2018, hosted by the Lord-Lieutenant.

To find out more about the awards or to nominate a young person go online at: www.leicestershire.gov.uk/llawards or email lieutenancyoffice@leics.gov.uk or call 0116 305 6053.

The success of these awards relies on the nominations we receive from people like you who are prepared to make that special effort, so thank you for taking a few moments to consider these awards.
