At our Agm in July, the County launched our partnership with Toys on the Table.
The aim of this partnership is to highlight what an impact we can have on our close community when we work together
Lets support our local community and show what we can achieve together
#Community impact, Challenge Leicestershire
Our project will be launched on the same day as the appeal which this year is Thursday 1st November and will run until Friday 30th Nov. During this time we would like to collect as many New gifts as we can for young people aged 0 – 16yrs.
Referrals may be made after this date if needed.
Please find attached the following:
Collection Poster - TOTT Poster
To be displayed in all Scout meeting places would be fantastic whether they have their own building or use church halls, schools, community centres or you could even create a collection point in an area you have wanted to introduce scouting into!
Toys will be collected from your districts or you can arrange locally to deliver them to LE3 where i will arrange for them to be sorted and sent to Santas workshop!
Information for parents: - Parent Information There is a flyer with very basic information on that could just be emailed to parents or you could create your own.
Referral form - Referral Form Of course this is not all about the collecting. Please make sure all your leaders are aware that they can refer a young person for a gift this christmas and not assume the school or other agency will pick it up. They fill in the referral and send it directly to the Toys on the Table team. Once ready it will be dropped off at LE3 and they will get a message to collect and deliver.
Any good at Wrapping!
The workshop is open 10am – 1pm Monday – Friday to wrap all these amazing gifts. If anyone would like to help them out please let me know and i will forward on their details to the team.
Many thanks in anticipation for your support in this project and if you have any questions please do not hesitate to get in touch.
Yours in Scouting
