Leicestershire’s County Scout Centre is a multipurpose building offering accommodation for conferences, seminars, training and both indoor and outdoor residential experiences.
CONFERENCES
We offer facilities for hosting both large and small conferences.
- The Rutland Lounge
A large ground floor meeting room and social area seating 100 theatre style and 40 conference style - The Martin Room
A first floor meeting room seating 120 theatre style and up to 50 conference style - The Crawshaw Room
A small meeting room seating 20 board room style
TRAINING
The Martin Room is the main Training and Work room with the adjacent Crawshaw room as a staff room or small workroom. The Rutland lounge can also e used for training.
LECTURE THEATRE
A tiered seating area which can be used for training or be turned into a drama studio or presentation area.
CATERING FACILITIES
A fully equipped stainless steel commercial kitchen is located on the ground floor and meets all current hygiene regulations. A full l catering service is available for all meals. Self catering is possible by prior arrangements.
EQUIPMENT
Flip charts, data projectors, video playback facilities available. Microphone and amplification can also be arranged. The centre is fully equipped with tables and chairs and the outdoor activity field may be booked for initiative and problem solving exercises.
RESIDENTIAL
There are four large and two smaller dormitories containing bunk beds to sleep a total of 44 people. The building is fully serviced with toilets, washing facilities and showers. Externally there are extensive camping grounds.
