LEICESTER Cathedral will be host to a 7 metre moon in the week beg 9.3.18 – 18.3.18
This is part of the National Science week. Turi King at Leicester University is arranging a number of events locally to mark this week and as part of it the Cathedral will display the art installation by Luke Jerram .
It promises to be spectacular and will be particularly spectacular in the evening. Is this something that may be of interest to local groups to come and see?
There would likely be a small fee to cover staffing costs in opening in the evening but I think it would be unforgettable – please watch the video on the site above.
If there is interest, I would be proposing that we open on either Monday 12th March or Tuesday 13th March.
Sunset then is about 6.15 so potentially we could open at 6.30 for a couple of hours.
